Punishment No. 116 of 204

Hold a Plank

Hold a plank position for the period assigned by the Dominant as a physical consequence.

Extra care required. This punishment carries more risk than standard play. Make sure both people understand the specific activity, agree on limits and intensity beforehand, and have a clear way to stop.

What it is

Plank punishment requires the submissive to support the body in a rigid plank position for an assigned period. Depending on the agreed version, weight may be carried through the forearms or hands and the feet or knees. The central requirement is maintaining the body line rather than performing repetitions. That separates it from push-ups, where the body repeatedly lowers and rises. Different plank forms can change which muscles work hardest without changing the basic endurance task.

What makes it punishing

A plank gives the sub very little opportunity to rest while staying technically in position. The core, shoulders, and arms must keep working, and fatigue often shows up as shaking or a body line that begins to collapse. The timer can become its own pressure because dropping to the floor would instantly end the effort but not the assigned consequence.

Why Dominants Choose It

Planking creates a punishment with a clear physical standard and an obvious breaking point. The Dom can watch the sub fight to preserve form as the body tires, which makes effort easy to read. It also has a stripped-down quality: no special equipment or elaborate setup is necessary. The sub’s own strength and persistence determine how hard the command feels.

Ways to run it

Forearm Plank
The sub supports the upper body on the forearms, using the classic low-plank position for the hold.
High Plank
The arms remain straight with weight through the hands, creating a higher push-up-style plank position.
Side Plank
The body is supported on one side, shifting the challenge toward lateral core strength and balance.
Knee Plank
The knees remain on the floor, providing a modified version that preserves the same braced-body requirement.
Plank Intervals
The punishment uses several shorter plank holds with defined rests rather than one uninterrupted endurance period.

How this punishment works

Hold a Plank is from the positions & physical endurance category. This is an in-person punishment — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a nonsexual punishment: structure and consequence, no sexual content required.

Intermediate: best once you've built trust, protocol, and a track record together.
