Punishment No. 3 of 204
Kneeling
Remain on your knees in an assigned posture until the Dominant ends the punishment.
What it is
Kneeling punishment requires the submissive to take an agreed kneeling position and remain there as the consequence. The posture may be upright or seated back on the heels. The Dom can also define where the hands go and whether the gaze stays lowered. Kneeling appears in ordinary D/s ritual too, so context matters. Here, the position is imposed because of a correction rather than offered as routine protocol.
What makes it punishing
Remaining on the knees can become uncomfortable, but the psychological weight is just as important. The sub is kept physically lower than the Dominant and cannot simply stand, stretch, or change position when they feel like it. The punishment makes waiting itself submissive: relief comes when the Dominant decides the kneeling period is finished.
Why Dominants Choose It
Kneeling offers a correction that is quiet but unmistakably about hierarchy. The sub’s posture visibly reflects who is giving the consequence and who is receiving it. It can also keep the disciplinary moment present without constant action from the Dom. For a Dominant who values formality or humility, making the sub remain on their knees can say more than another spoken reprimand.
Ways to run it
- Formal Upright Kneel
- The sub kneels upright with a straight back and the agreed hand position maintained throughout.
- Heels-Sitting Kneel
- The sub sits back toward the heels, creating a lower and more settled punishment posture.
- Hands-Behind-Back Kneel
- The hands stay behind the back, making the posture look more controlled and deliberately submissive.
- Hands-on-Thighs Kneel
- The sub keeps both hands placed on the thighs and holds the chosen posture without fidgeting.
- Wall-Facing Kneel
- The sub kneels facing a wall, combining the lowered posture with a more isolating disciplinary presentation.
How this punishment works
Kneeling is from the positions & physical endurance category. This is an in-person punishment — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink punishment — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Beginner-friendly: a possible early consequence in a new dynamic.
