What it is

Push-up punishment assigns the submissive a defined number or set of push-ups to complete as the consequence. Each repetition lowers and raises the body using the arms, chest, shoulders, and core. The Dominant may choose standard push-ups or an appropriate modified version, then count repetitions or require the sub to count aloud. This differs from holding a plank because the body must repeatedly move through the exercise rather than remain fixed in one position.

What makes it punishing

The count becomes harder to finish as fatigue accumulates. Early repetitions may feel easy, but each one uses strength the sub will want for the next. That makes the remaining number psychologically important: the punishment is not over when the exercise becomes unpleasant. It ends when the assigned work has actually been completed.

Why Dominants Choose It

Push-ups turn correction into something concrete and countable. The Dominant can watch every repetition and see whether the sub continues working when the easy part is over. They also create a different feeling from static endurance: instead of waiting out a position, the submissive has to actively earn progress toward the endpoint one repetition at a time. That can make the punishment feel disciplined and workmanlike.

Ways to run it

Standard Push-Ups
The sub completes conventional floor push-ups for the assigned count using the agreed full-body form.
Knee Push-Ups
The knees remain down, creating a modified version for someone who cannot complete standard push-ups comfortably.
Incline Push-Ups
The hands use a stable raised surface, reducing the load while preserving the repeated pushing movement.
Counted Sets
The total punishment is divided into several defined sets rather than completed as one uninterrupted sequence.
Paced Push-Ups
The Dominant controls the rhythm of each repetition instead of allowing the sub to rush through the count.

How this punishment works

Push-Ups is from the positions & physical endurance category. It's long-distance friendly: messages, photos, or a call are all it takes, which makes it usable for online and distance dynamics. It's a nonsexual punishment: structure and consequence, no sexual content required.

Beginner-friendly: a possible early consequence in a new dynamic.
