What it is

Message Protocol is an agreed way the sub writes or records messages to their Dom. It may require a greeting, title, tone, sign-off, response phrase, or set format for requests and reports. The protocol may apply to every private message or only to formal exchanges. It controls how the message is delivered, not what information a check-in or report must contain.

Why it is submissive

The sub changes their normal communication habits to follow the form chosen by their Dom. They are expected to remember the required wording or structure and use it consistently. The Dom decides how formal communication should sound and receives messages in the manner they prefer.

Why people may like it

A small change in wording can keep the roles present even when partners are apart or discussing ordinary things. A title, greeting, or sign-off can make each message feel specifically addressed to the Dom. Some subs enjoy pausing to compose themselves before sending; others like having a private signal woven through the day. Doms may enjoy the consistency and recognition built into every exchange.

Ways to run it

Greeting and Sign-Off
Every covered message begins and ends with the exact words or form chosen by the Dom.
Title in Every Message
The sub includes the Dom’s title at least once in each message during the protocol period.
Formal Request Format
Permission requests and exceptions follow a set structure so the Dom receives the needed information clearly.
Response Phrase
The sub uses an agreed phrase to acknowledge commands, confirm understanding, or report completion.
Discreet Code
A subtle word, punctuation mark, or phrase signals protocol without revealing the dynamic to other people.

How this task works

Message Protocol is a protocol from the protocol & positions chart. It's long-distance friendly: messages, photos, or a call are all it takes, which makes it a favorite for online and distance dynamics. It's a nonsexual task: structure and submission, no sexual content required.

Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
