What it is

Short Replies Only limits how much the submissive may say when they are allowed to answer. The Dominant may require yes-or-no responses, a fixed phrase, a one-sentence maximum, or another short format. The sub can still participate in conversation, but they cannot expand freely. Unlike Speak Only When Addressed, this punishment controls the shape of the answer rather than who starts the exchange. The restriction stays focused on verbal economy.
