Accept an agreed hood or sensory-deprivation garment and rely on the communication system established for the scene.
What it is
A hood or mask changes the sub’s appearance and may reduce sight, sound, or facial expression. The pair chooses the exact garment, tests the fit, and establishes a stop signal that still works after the hood is on. Breathing must remain fully open and unrestricted, and the Dom stays close enough to remove the hood immediately. A built-in gag, breathing tube, rebreathing system, or airway restriction would be a different and substantially riskier activity.
Why it is submissive
The sub allows the Dom to alter how much of their face, identity, and sensory access remains available. Once hooded, they may depend more strongly on the Dom’s voice, touch, and decisions about what can be seen or heard. The Dom controls the transformation and the moment the sub’s ordinary face and senses return.
Why people may like it
A hood can make the sub feel anonymous, depersonalized, objectified, or transformed before any other activity begins. Some enjoy seeing themselves become visually unfamiliar, while others respond to the reduced sight or muffled sound. The garment may make the Dom’s presence feel larger because fewer outside cues remain. Doms may enjoy controlling both the sub’s appearance and the sensory world available inside the hood.
