Task No. 129 of 282
Breathe on Command
Follow your Dom's safe pacing cues for ordinary breathing, pauses, and calming—not breath restriction.
What it is
Here, ordinary unobstructed breathing becomes a form of body guidance. The Dom may cue a gentle inhale, a slow exhale, a natural pause, a return to normal breathing, or a short calming sequence. The sub follows only while the rhythm remains comfortable and can immediately resume their natural breathing. Nothing presses on or covers the neck, mouth, nose, or chest, and the task is not choking or oxygen restriction.
Why it is submissive
Breathing usually happens without conscious permission, so following the Dom’s voice can make a basic bodily rhythm feel shared and directed. The sub lets the Dom choose when attention moves to the inhale, exhale, or return to normal. The Dom guides rather than overrides the body’s need for air.
Why people may like it
A simple breathing cue can make the Dom’s voice feel unusually close and influential. Some subs enjoy matching the Dom’s pace, exhaling into a touch, or using a few directed breaths to settle into a position or scene. The rhythm may create calm, focus, or anticipation without adding physical restraint. Doms may enjoy leading a visible change in the sub’s composure through nothing more than timing and voice.
Ways to run it
- Match the Dom’s Breathing
- The sub follows the Dom’s comfortable inhale and exhale rhythm for several breaths.
- Slow Inhale and Exhale
- The Dom gives gentle counting cues without forcing a pace that feels strained.
- Exhale on Touch
- The sub exhales when the Dom gives one agreed touch or pressure cue.
- Three-Breath Grounding
- Three guided ordinary breaths mark the beginning of a scene or protocol.
- Return to Normal
- The Dom deliberately ends the exercise by telling the sub to breathe naturally again.
How this task works
Breathe on Command is a scene task from the sensory control & body control chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Intermediate: best once you've built trust, protocol, and a track record together. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
