What it is

The Dom names a body part, person, or object the sub is not allowed to touch for the agreed period. The sub may keep the hands at the sides, on the thighs, behind the back, or around a safe object, but the core task is resisting the prohibited contact. It can be used during teasing, inspection, observation, or another activity where touching would normally feel natural. The rule ends with the Dom’s release or permission.

Why it is submissive

The sub gives the Dom authority over an immediate impulse to reach, cover, soothe, adjust, or participate. They remain present with the desire to touch without deciding for themselves when that desire can be acted on. The Dom controls both the prohibition and the eventual permission.

Why people may like it

Not touching can make teasing feel much stronger because the sub cannot relieve or redirect the sensation with their own hands. Some enjoy the frustration of being physically capable of touching but forbidden to do so. The rule may also create exposure when the sub cannot cover a body part or interfere with an inspection. Doms may enjoy watching the struggle between instinct and obedience.

Ways to run it

Do Not Touch Yourself
The sub keeps both hands away from their own body during the assigned interaction.
One Forbidden Area
Only one named body area is off-limits while other movement remains allowed.
Do Not Touch the Dom
The sub receives attention without reaching toward or holding the Dom.
Hands on Thighs
The sub keeps both hands visibly placed on the thighs until released.
Touch Only After Permission
The prohibition ends only when the Dom explicitly grants permission to touch.

How this task works

Do Not Touch is a scene task from the sensory control & body control chart. It works in person or apart, so long-distance dynamics can run it too. It's an explicit task, for adults in a negotiated sexual dynamic.

Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
