Task No. 128 of 282
Receive a Flogging
Present for a negotiated flogging and communicate intensity using the agreed system.
What it is
A flogging scene uses a multi-tailed implement to build sensation across an agreed area of the body. The flogger’s material, weight, length, and flexibility affect whether the result feels soft, heavy, sharp, or enveloping, so the exact implement matters. The Dom should already have practiced controlling its reach and avoiding tails that wrap around the body. The sub presents the agreed target area and communicates intensity while the Dom develops the rhythm.
Why it is submissive
A sustained flogging places the sub inside a rhythm that the Dom controls and changes over time. The sub stays available to shifts in tempo, weight, and placement while continuing to report what the sensation is doing. The Dom shapes the scene’s progression and decides when the rhythm builds, breaks, or ends.
Why people may like it
Flogging can create a long sensory arc instead of a simple series of hard hits. Some subs enjoy the way a broad rhythm becomes warm and immersive, then changes when the Dom alters the implement or stroke. The repeated sound and motion may help them settle into a focused or trance-like headspace. Doms may enjoy reading the sub’s body over time and controlling the scene through rhythm as much as force.
Ways to run it
- Soft Warm-Up Flogging
- A softer flogger and lighter strokes build warmth before any increase in intensity.
- Rhythmic Flogging
- The Dom maintains a steady repeated pattern intended to create an immersive flow.
- Alternating Floggers
- Two approved floggers create different weights or textures during the same scene.
- Counted Sets
- The scene is divided into defined sets with check-ins between them.
- Flogging and Inspection
- After the scene, the sub presents the affected area for the Dom to examine privately.
How this task works
Receive a Flogging is a scene task from the impact, pain & endurance chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Intermediate: best once you've built trust, protocol, and a track record together. Risk level is heightened — negotiate carefully, agree on stop signals, and plan aftercare before you start.
