Task No. 99 of 282
Hold Position Through Impact
Maintain the assigned position while receiving impact unless your safety signal requires a change.
What it is
The Dom assigns a stable posture, and the sub maintains it while receiving the negotiated impact. The position might be kneeling, bent over, standing against a wall, or supported by a bench, with the hands and gaze placed as agreed. The task is about composure and availability, not remaining frozen through loss of balance, breathing trouble, numbness, or a safety signal. The Dom may correct posture between sets or release the position when fatigue changes how safely the impact can land.
Why it is submissive
The sub gives the Dom authority over how the body is presented and resists the ordinary impulse to pull away from each strike. Maintaining the posture makes the sub visibly available to the Dom’s rhythm and target choice. The Dom controls the form while remaining responsible for distinguishing chosen stillness from unsafe physical failure.
Why people may like it
Holding position can make impact feel psychologically stronger because the sub cannot freely recoil or rearrange themselves after every strike. Some enjoy the challenge of keeping their hands, back, or gaze exactly where the Dom placed them. The visible composure may create pride, vulnerability, or a sense of disciplined surrender. Doms may enjoy the clarity of a body that remains deliberately presented and responsive.
Ways to run it
- Bent-Over Hold
- The sub stays bent over a stable surface while the Dom delivers the agreed scene.
- Kneeling Hold
- The sub maintains the chosen kneeling posture between and during strikes.
- Hands on the Wall
- The sub stands with their hands placed on a wall and keeps the agreed stance.
- Supported Bench Position
- A bench or padded surface supports the body so posture remains stable as intensity builds.
- Short Position Rounds
- The task is divided into brief rounds with posture checks and resets between them.
How this task works
Hold Position Through Impact is a scene task from the impact, pain & endurance chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Intermediate: best once you've built trust, protocol, and a track record together. Risk level is heightened — negotiate carefully, agree on stop signals, and plan aftercare before you start.
