Task No. 155 of 282
Write Punishment Lines
Write the assigned sentence the required number of times with attention to the behavior being corrected.
What it is
Punishment Lines require the sub to write one assigned sentence a set number of times. The sentence should connect directly to the rule, responsibility, or choice being corrected and should be something the sub can honestly understand—not a degrading claim imposed as fact. The Dom sets a reasonable count and a clear endpoint, and the sub completes the lines legibly and with attention. Mindless copying or enough writing to cause injury defeats the purpose.
Why it is submissive
The sub accepts a repetitive consequence and repeatedly places attention on wording chosen by the Dom. They cannot rush past the issue with a single apology or vague promise, but they also know exactly what completion requires. The Dom controls the sentence and amount within the limits the pair has already accepted.
Why people may like it
Writing lines is simple, private, and possible even when partners are apart. Some subs dislike the repetition enough for it to feel consequential while still appreciating that the task is predictable and finite. The repeated sentence can also slow down an impulsive pattern and keep one expectation in focus. Doms may value having a visible completed consequence that does not rely on physical punishment.
Ways to run it
- Rule Sentence
- The sub writes the relevant rule exactly as agreed so the wording remains familiar and clear.
- Responsibility Sentence
- The assigned sentence names the choice the sub controls and the behavior they will use next time.
- Ten Careful Lines
- A small number of slow, legible repetitions emphasizes attention rather than physical strain.
- Lines Plus Reflection
- After the repetitions, the sub adds a short explanation of how the sentence applies to what happened.
- Read the Lines Aloud
- The sub presents the completed page and reads the sentence aloud once to close the task.
How this task works
Write Punishment Lines is a punishment task from the bratting, discipline & accountability chart. It's long-distance friendly: messages, photos, or a call are all it takes, which makes it a favorite for online and distance dynamics. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
