Task No. 126 of 282
Complete a Redo
Repeat a poorly completed task from the beginning and meet the original standard.
What it is
A redo returns the sub to a task that was completed carelessly or below a standard they already understood. The Dom identifies what was wrong, and the sub begins again or repeats the failed section instead of treating time spent as proof that the work was finished. The second attempt should correct the actual problem and be reviewed against the original expectation. A redo is not appropriate when the instructions were unclear or the standard changed after the task was completed.
Why it is submissive
The sub accepts that the Dom’s standard still applies even after the first attempt has consumed time or effort. They return to the work without bargaining that it was “good enough” and demonstrate that they can use correction constructively. The Dom decides whether the problem requires a full restart, a partial correction, or further practice.
Why people may like it
Redoing the original task connects the consequence directly to the failure. Some subs prefer this because it produces a visible correction rather than an unrelated punishment that leaves the original work unfinished. The second attempt may also restore pride when the sub can see the difference between careless and careful completion. Doms receive the result they originally asked for and evidence that the feedback was understood.
Ways to run it
- Full Task Restart
- The sub begins the entire assignment again and completes every step to the original standard.
- Redo the Failed Section
- Only the part that missed the standard is repeated when restarting everything would be wasteful.
- Redo With Checklist
- The sub uses a clear checklist to prevent the same omissions or careless choices on the second attempt.
- Explain the Difference
- When presenting the redo, the sub identifies what was wrong before and what they changed this time.
- Redo Then Repeat Independently
- After the corrected attempt is approved, the sub completes one later repetition without coaching.
How this task works
Complete a Redo is a correction from the bratting, discipline & accountability chart. It works in person or apart, so long-distance dynamics can run it too. It's a nonsexual task: structure and submission, no sexual content required.
Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
