Select one of two pre-negotiated consequences and accept the choice without bargaining afterward.
What it is
The Dom presents two consequences that were negotiated before the incident, and the sub selects which one they will complete. Both options should be clearly understood, proportionate, and currently safe enough to choose between. Once the sub chooses, they complete that option without reopening the decision merely because it has become inconvenient. Prior negotiation does not remove the right to raise a genuine safety, consent, or changed-circumstance issue.
Why it is submissive
The sub receives limited choice inside a structure the Dom controls. They take responsibility for selecting the consequence and then submit to the option they chose rather than pushing the entire decision back onto the Dom. The Dom defines the two acceptable paths, confirms the choice, and closes the matter when the selected consequence is complete.
Why people may like it
Choosing can create its own tension because neither option is the one the sub would freely prefer. Some subs appreciate having enough agency to account for current circumstances while still experiencing a real consequence. The choice may also reduce resentment when both options were known and accepted before the rule break. Doms may enjoy watching the sub weigh the alternatives and then commit to one without prolonged bargaining.
