Task No. 212 of 282
Wait in Confinement
Spend the agreed period in a cage, cell, or other negotiated confinement space until released.
What it is
Wait in Confinement asks the sub to remain inside an agreed cage, cell, enclosed furniture piece, or other bounded space until the Dom releases them. The space must be structurally safe, ventilated, large enough for the chosen posture, and easy for the Dom to open immediately. The duration and check-in plan are set in advance, and the Dom remains present or able to intervene without delay. Confinement is not permission to lock the sub away unattended.
Why it is submissive
Once inside the agreed space, the sub waits for the Dom—not the sub—to decide when ordinary movement returns. The physical boundary makes the Dom’s authority visible while the sub continues to report any physical or emotional problem. The Dom controls entry and release within the negotiated duration and conditions.
Why people may like it
A cage or enclosed space can create a powerful feeling of being kept, contained, or put away for the Dom. Some subs enjoy the quiet of having nowhere else to go and only one instruction: remain until released. The boundary itself may feel comforting, humiliating, possessive, or suspenseful depending on the dynamic. Doms may enjoy the strong visual message that the sub’s freedom is temporarily contained.
Ways to run it
- Short Cage Wait
- The sub remains in a comfortable cage or enclosure for a brief defined period while the Dom stays present.
- Padded Confinement
- Cushions, blankets, or appropriate padding make the agreed seated or lying position sustainable.
- Darkened Enclosure
- Light is reduced only after ventilation, communication, and emotional response have been considered.
- Collared Confinement
- The sub wears the agreed collar while waiting inside the space for release.
- Confinement With Reflection
- The sub is given a simple thought, journal prompt, or devotion to consider while waiting.
How this task works
Wait in Confinement is a scene task from the bondage & restraint chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Intermediate: best once you've built trust, protocol, and a track record together. Risk level is heightened — negotiate carefully, agree on stop signals, and plan aftercare before you start.
