Surrender your sight for the scene and follow your Dom's voice and touch.
What it is
A blindfold removes the sub’s sight while leaving the other senses and communication available. The Dom decides when the blindfold goes on and when vision returns, and the sub follows verbal or physical guidance rather than moving through the space independently. The blindfold should fit comfortably, allow easy breathing, and be removable without delay. Adding earplugs, a hood, or restraint creates a more complex task and should be negotiated separately.
Why it is submissive
The sub gives up visual information and becomes more dependent on the Dom’s voice, touch, and decisions about what happens next. They accept not being able to check the room, the Dom’s expression, or the approaching object with their eyes. The Dom controls what the sub can see and guides them through the resulting vulnerability.
Why people may like it
Not seeing can make an ordinary touch feel unpredictable and much harder to anticipate. Some subs enjoy listening more closely to the Dom’s voice, wondering where the Dom is, or feeling their own reactions without watching themselves. A blindfold can also reduce self-consciousness because the sub is no longer tracking the Dom’s face or the appearance of the scene. Doms may enjoy controlling the sub’s expectations as much as the physical sensations.

- Sight and hand movement are both restricted after separate negotiation of the combined task.
