Task No. 40 of 282
Ask to Be Restrained
Kneel or present yourself and clearly ask your Dom to restrain you.
What it is
Here, the sub clearly tells the Dom that they want to be restrained. They may kneel, present their hands, or describe the feeling they want, while leaving the exact method within the choices already negotiated. The request should make clear whether it is for immediate play, a future scene, or a particular level of restriction. Asking to be restrained is not blanket permission for every restraint, position, or activity.
Why it is submissive
The sub openly admits that they want the Dom to take away some freedom of movement. They create the opportunity for control without dictating every detail of how the Dom must use it. The Dom chooses whether to accept the request and which approved restraint fits the moment.
Why people may like it
Saying the request aloud can feel vulnerable because the desire for helplessness is no longer hidden or implied. Some subs enjoy giving the Dom a clear opening and then waiting to learn whether the Dom chooses cuffs, rope, a position, or a lighter form of restraint. The request can also make the exchange feel more intentional than restraint that simply appears in the middle of a scene. Doms may enjoy being directly invited to take control.
Ways to run it
- Kneeling Request
- The sub kneels, presents their hands, and asks the Dom to restrain them.
- Written Request
- The sub sends a message or note asking for restraint in a future scene.
- Ask for Light Restraint
- The request is limited to a simple approved setup such as wrists together or one cuffed hand.
- Ask the Dom to Choose
- The sub names several approved methods and lets the Dom decide which one to use.
- Name the Desired Feeling
- The sub explains whether they want helplessness, containment, display, struggle, or quiet surrender.
How this task works
Ask to Be Restrained is a scene task from the bondage & restraint chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
