What it is
A harness and toy become the center of the scene, with the Dom assigning who wears them, who gives, who receives, and what kind of play occurs. The task may involve vaginal or anal penetration, oral attention to the toy, rubbing, display, or the sub wearing the harness while following the Dom’s movement instructions. Fit, toy security, lubricant, barriers, cleaning, and changes between body openings should be handled before or during the scene as needed. The person wearing the strap-on is not automatically the dominant partner.
Why it is submissive
The sub accepts the Dom’s assignment of role rather than allowing anatomy or the harness to determine who leads.
