Task No. 170 of 282
Warm Up Your Body
Complete the agreed stretching, movement, hydration, or other preparation appropriate for the planned scene.
What it is
Prepare the body for the demands of the planned scene with an agreed routine suited to the person and activity. It may involve gentle movement, dynamic stretching, hydration, a shower, posture practice, or simply checking for pain, dizziness, fatigue, or injury. Some sensory activities use a gradual low-intensity warm-up after play begins. The routine is not a test of endurance, and it does not make a risky position or technique safe.
Why it is submissive
The sub follows the agreed preparation sequence and presents an honest readiness report before receiving the scene. They make their body available deliberately rather than rushing ahead or concealing a limitation. The Dom directs the preparation within the plan, while pain, illness, injury, or a changed physical condition remains a reason to modify or stop.
Why people may like it
A short warm-up can shift attention from ordinary life into posture, breath, movement, and anticipation. The first instructions may feel like the scene has already begun even though no intense activity is happening yet. Presenting a prepared body may feel purposeful, and moving gradually can create calm before demanding positions or sensations begin. The routine can become a recognizable opening ritual.
Ways to run it
- Gentle Movement Sequence
- The sub completes a short series of easy movements matched to the positions planned for the scene.
- Hydration and Readiness Check
- Water, current energy, pain, dizziness, and other relevant body signals are reviewed before play.
- Posture Rehearsal
- The sub briefly practices an agreed kneeling, standing, or supported position without holding it to fatigue.
- Activity-Specific Warm-Up
- Preparation focuses on the joints and movements that the negotiated scene will actually use.
- Gradual Sensory Warm-Up
- The scene begins with lower-intensity contact before progressing, while the sub continues reporting how the body responds.
How this task works
Warm Up Your Body is a preparation from the scene preparation chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a nonsexual task: structure and submission, no sexual content required.
Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
