What it is

A Desire List gathers several things the sub wants more of, wants to try, or wants the Dom to choose between. The items may concern sex, service, rules, attention, discipline, roles, or everyday power exchange. Ranking or grouping them makes the list useful: a strong current desire should not look identical to a mild curiosity. The list offers information and options, not a demand that every item be provided.

Why it is submissive

The sub states what they want plainly instead of making the Dom guess or hiding behind passive hints. They may also offer the Dom a defined area of choice among desires the sub has already considered. The Dom receives a clearer map of the sub’s interests and decides what deserves discussion, negotiation, or action.

Why people may like it

Ranking desires can make vague wanting feel concrete. Some subs discover that the things they think about most are not the same as the things they would prioritize in real life. The list can also be erotic because it places several possibilities in front of the Dom without telling the Dom exactly which one to choose or how to use it. For Doms, it provides better material for planning than a general request for “more kink” or “more control.”

Ways to run it

Ranked Top Ten
The sub lists ten desires from strongest current priority to lowest, with one sentence explaining each choice.
More, Try, or Decide
Items are grouped into things the sub wants more often, wants to try, or wants the Dom to choose.
Yes, Maybe, Curious
The list separates established desires from conditional interests and ideas the sub is only curious about.
Sexual and Nonsexual
The sub creates separate sections for sexual play, service, rules, communication, and everyday authority.
Choose One to Discuss
The Dom selects one item from the completed list for a later conversation or negotiation.

How this task works

Desire List is a reflection from the communication, journaling & disclosure chart. It's long-distance friendly: messages, photos, or a call are all it takes, which makes it a favorite for online and distance dynamics. It's an explicit task, for adults in a negotiated sexual dynamic.

Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
