Task No. 262 of 282
Ask for a New Challenge
Request one specific area in which you want your Dom to push, train, or test you.
What it is
The sub asks the Dom to push, train, or test them in one defined area where they want to grow. The request should name the skill or behavior, the current difficulty, the kind of challenge desired, and any limits the Dom needs to know. It may concern service, protocol, communication, discipline, endurance, or another skill. The request invites the Dom to design the challenge; it is not blanket consent to be pushed in any direction.
Why it is submissive
The sub identifies an area of growth and asks to place its structure, pacing, and evaluation under the Dom’s direction. They offer ambition without dictating the exact test or pretending they have no limits. The Dom decides how demanding the challenge should be, what practice is required, and how progress will be judged.
Why people may like it
Requesting a challenge can make submission feel active and ambitious rather than merely reactive. Some subs enjoy admitting that they want the Dom to expect more from them and wondering how the Dom will turn that desire into a real test. A defined goal can also make improvement easier to recognize and praise. Doms may enjoy shaping a challenge around the sub’s actual strengths, weak points, and interests instead of assigning difficulty for its own sake.
Ways to run it
- Skill Challenge
- The sub asks to improve one practical skill through instruction, repeated practice, and a final demonstration.
- Service Challenge
- The Dom increases the precision, complexity, or independence required in one established form of service.
- Protocol Challenge
- The sub asks to learn or maintain a more demanding posture, speech, movement, or attention protocol.
- Communication Challenge
- The Dom assigns structured practice in asking, reporting, disclosing, or speaking honestly about difficult subjects.
- Choose From Three Areas
- The sub offers three growth areas and lets the Dom select which one will become the next challenge.
How this task works
Ask for a New Challenge is a communication task from the communication, journaling & disclosure chart. It works in person or apart, so long-distance dynamics can run it too. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
Beginner-friendly: a good early assignment in a new dynamic. Standard care applies: negotiate first, agree on limits, and check in afterward.
