What it is
Two adults take roles whose relationship is prohibited by the fictional world they have created. The barrier may be rival families, enemy factions, vows, class, status, a secret affair within the story, an adult mentor role, or another agreed reason the characters should not become lovers. The pair defines the exact taboo and keeps real infidelity, real professional leverage, actual family identities, and unaware people outside the scene. The forbidden quality comes from the narrative.
Why it is submissive
The submissive character yields to desire, seduction, or authority despite the fictional rule that says the relationship should not happen. The Dom may control the secrecy, meetings, confessions, or consequences that move the story forward. The sub’s surrender becomes a decision to cross the invented boundary under the Dom’s direction.
Why people may like it
A fictional barrier can make attraction feel urgent without requiring either person to violate a real agreement. Some subs enjoy secrecy, moral tension, coded meetings, or being persuaded to admit a desire the character is supposed to resist.
