What it is

Chair Bondage is a punishment in which the submissive is physically secured to a chair and required to stay there. The wrists may be attached to the chair arms or held behind the back, while the ankles can be secured to the legs of the chair. The torso may also be restrained when greater immobility is intended. Unlike simply tying the hands or feet, chair bondage fixes the person to a particular place as well as limiting movement.

What makes it punishing

A chair is normally something a person can leave whenever they want. Once restrained to it, that ordinary freedom disappears. The sub cannot simply stand or follow the Dominant. They also cannot move closer, reach what they want, or decide the waiting period is over. Being kept in one chosen place can make time and restlessness feel like part of the correction.

Why Dominants Choose It

Chair bondage can have a strong disciplinary character because the Dominant has literally placed the submissive somewhere and made them stay there. It gives the Dom a stable, visible position from which to deal with the sub. They can question them, observe them, ignore them, or simply let the waiting continue. The punishment therefore feels controlled and deliberate rather than frantic or physically aggressive.

Ways to run it

Wrists and Ankles Secured: The wrists attach to the chair arms and the ankles to the chair legs for straightforward restraint.
Hands Behind Chair: The wrists remain restrained behind the chair, making the upper body feel more controlled and exposed.
Torso Secured: A strap or rope around the torso adds another point of restraint and reduces twisting or leaning.
Wall-Facing Chair: The chair faces a wall so confinement also removes much of the room and Dominant from view.
Waiting Chair: The sub remains restrained without another activity added, making the imposed waiting itself the punishment.
