What it is

The prey runs, hides, or evades inside a private area that has been cleared and marked before the scene. The hunt ends when the Dom catches the prey, the prey reaches an agreed safe zone, or the timer expires. The pair chooses exactly how a capture may happen—such as a hand on the shoulder, a controlled body hold, or a verbal call—rather than improvising a tackle. The chase stays entirely inside the agreed property and away from traffic, strangers, and unsafe terrain.

Why it is submissive

The prey is allowed to make capture difficult while accepting that the Dom controls the hunt’s boundaries and the meaning of being caught. Running becomes part of the surrender rather than an attempt to end the encounter. If the Dom succeeds, the prey accepts the approved capture and whatever negotiated transition follows.

Why people may like it

A chase can create a fast burst of adrenaline before any restraint or sexual activity begins. Some subs enjoy hearing the Dom search nearby, deciding whether to hide or run, and knowing they are the sole focus of the hunt. The instant of capture may feel frightening, relieving, playful, or deeply possessive. Doms may enjoy the strategy of finding the prey and the sharp transition from movement to control.

Ways to run it

One-Room Chase: The prey evades inside one cleared room where speed and distance remain limited.
Timed Indoor Hunt: The prey receives a short head start before the Dom searches the approved rooms.
Fenced-Yard Chase: A private enclosed outdoor area is checked for footing, visibility, and escape points first.
Safe-Zone Chase: The prey can temporarily pause the hunt by reaching one clearly marked safe area.
Hidden-Prey Search: The prey hides without running and the Dom searches until the prey is found or time ends.

How this task works

Be Chased as Prey is a scene task from the primal, capture & interrogation chart. This is an in-person task — it needs you and your Dom in the same room. It's a kink task — charged with power exchange, though not explicit.
