Write a sincere letter describing what you admire, value, or choose to serve in your Dom.
What it is
A devotion letter gives the sub room to explain, in their own words, what they admire, value, or choose to serve in their Dom. It may describe the Dom’s authority, care, character, or effect on the sub, using memories and specific examples rather than generic praise. Unlike Write What You Admire, which follows a five-quality structure, the letter can take whatever form best expresses the sub’s feelings.
Why it is submissive
The sub makes their respect, gratitude, and desire to serve visible instead of keeping those feelings private or assumed. Writing the letter requires them to examine why they choose this person’s authority and then offer that vulnerable account to the Dom. The Dom receives a personal expression of what their role means to the sub.
Why people may like it
A letter can hold feelings that are difficult to say naturally in conversation. Some subs enjoy taking time to find precise words for the Dom’s effect on them, while others value creating something the Dom can keep and reread. Writing may also reveal what parts of the dynamic feel most meaningful once the sub has to explain them clearly.
