What it is
The submissive wears an agreed collar or harness attached to a leash while the Dominant leads them through the scene. The Dom holds the lead and decides where to go, when to stop, and when movement resumes. The submissive may walk upright or use another agreed pet posture. The leash is the defining feature because movement follows the handler's physical guidance rather than the sub's own direction.
What makes it punishing
A leash makes ordinary movement dependent on someone else. The sub cannot simply choose a direction or wander off without feeling the handler's control through the lead. Being visibly guided like a pet can also feel embarrassing or lowering, especially for someone who is used to moving through a room independently.
